Emergency Overflow Camping – Tom Price and Paraburdoo

Visitors and residents of Tom Price and Paraburdoo are advised that emergency free overflow camping has been activated in response to an influx of travellers associated with Cyclone Narelle.
To help accommodate increased visitor numbers and support safety across the region, effective from today, Thursday 26 March 2026, the following temporary camping locations are available:
Tom Price
  • Kings Lake (entry via Nameless Valley Road). No parking or camping on grassed areas permitted
  • Tom Price Drive‑In (entry via Stadium Road)
Paraburdoo
  • Paraburdoo Drive‑In (entry via Camp Road)
Please refer to the maps for site entry.
These temporary arrangements are free of charge and will operate on a first in, best dressed basis. There is no check‑in point.
Conditions of entry
  • Self‑contained vehicles only (must have your own toilet)
  • All wastewater must be contained and disposed of at designated dump points
  • No fires permitted
  • Pets are permitted but must be kept on a lead at all times
  • No generator use between 9:00pm and 7:00am
  • Please respect the surrounds and leave the area as you found it
  • Tom Price Cassette dump point is available at the Tourist Information Bay
  • Paraburdoo Cassette dump point is available at the Paraburdoo Caravan Park
Important safety information
  • Campers must monitor official weather warnings and be prepared to relocate at short notice if conditions change
  • Access roads and sites may be impacted by weather and conditions can change rapidly
This arrangement is temporary and will be reviewed regularly.
Shire Rangers will be patrolling these areas.
